Kathy Schroeder has been in the individual, team, and organization development profession for over twenty-five years. Key areas of work include the development of leaders at all levels with a strong focus on high-potentials, building & sustaining high-performing teams, and enabling senior leaders to create healthy cultures in a hybrid world. Kathy started her work as an executive coach twenty years ago and still hears from initial clients about the positive impact of engagements in their professional and personal lives.

Immediately before joining Executive Coaching Connections, Kathy spent 15 years in key leadership roles at Astellas, a global pharmaceutical company.  As the Global Head and Senior Director, Learning & Development, Kathy’s global team delivered all aspects of employee development, including high potential development, people manager development, new employee orientation, career development, executive coaching, mentoring, and multi-rater feedback to all 15,000 employees worldwide.  Before that role, Kathy was the Senior Director, Talent & Organization Development for North and South America, where she was responsible for employee engagement, talent review, succession planning, performance management, change management consulting, team effectiveness consulting, team interventions, competency development, globalization support, and culture change consulting.

In addition to her work in Pharma, Kathy has extensive experience in banking, consulting, and the public sector in the individual, team, and organizational development arenas. She has a BA in European History from the University of Illinois, an MA in International Relations from the University of Denver, and a PhD in Organization Development from Benedictine University, with her dissertation research focused on global team effectiveness. Kathy has published in the renowned Research in Organizational Change and Development and is a Visiting Scholar at Benedictine University.
