Paul brings a wide range of experience to organizations as an educator, consultant, training designer, and facilitator. In addition to his work as an executive coach to CEOs and their senior teams, he has worked with organizations to raise levels of adaptability and accountability in the workforce.  Paul works with senior teams in the arena of team effectiveness, alignment, and strategy execution.  His work includes the design and facilitation of offsite sessions to help executive teams frame their vision and leadership philosophy, building commitment to the company strategy.  He has worked over the past few years helping organizations define core values and operating principles for their culture, then assisting in embedding those competencies and behaviors into the organization. He has focused his practice in recent years on organizational diagnosis, change management, program effectiveness measurement, and leadership development in some of the world’s leading strategy consulting firms.

In over three decades working in the executive development arena, Mr. Garcés has developed and delivered seminars for use by a wide range of public and private-sector organizations, including Abbott, Adnexus, Allianz, Alkermes, Amersham, Arthur D. Before moving to full-time coaching, Paul served for 4 years as Corporate Director of Human Resource Planning and Development at Union Camp Corporation, a leading paper and forest-products company. In that capacity, he was responsible for the development of programs in performance management, management training, succession planning, and professional placement.

Mr. Garcès has extensive training experience both in the United States and abroad. A native of Colombia, he is fluent in Spanish. His work in Latin America has included the development of systematic and comprehensive upward mobility and performance appraisal programs and in culturally correct language translation of sales and management-development programs. He has consulted for clients in Argentina, Australia, Costa Rica, Dubai, France, Germany, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK, and Venezuela.

Paul has developed several simulations in use for leadership development, including the Secrag In-Basket, the Secrag RaceTrak Simulation, and several assessment and team-building instruments.
