Dr. Michelle Albaugh is an outstanding coach and educator, with specialties in individual and team processes and diagnosing and enhancing organizational performance. She is a thought leader in the field of coaching and coach education, as well as a developer of other organizational and leadership coaches in her role at Northwestern University.

Michelle has coached senior leaders in marketing/analytics, finance, medicine, and law, as well as entrepreneurs, female executives, and emerging high-potential leaders toward achieving lasting results. Her client list reflects her multiindustry knowledge and includes corporate as well as not-for-profit organizations. These include, among others, United Airlines, Discover Financial Services, Grosvenor, Ogilvy & Mather, CenturyLink, Periscope, and Northwestern University.

Michelle blends a rigorous understanding of human behavior—what works for intentional, sustained learning and change—with proven tools and concrete application to individual, team, and organizational challenges. She specializes in creating strong partnerships with her clients, quickly earning the role of a trusted partner. Michelle’s primary focus is on helping individuals understand pathways to their advancement and effectiveness—and then deliberately executing a plan that helps leaders get out of their own way and navigate the ambiguity required to ensure success. She is direct and will challenge with insight, sensitivity, and rapport in service of her client’s most vital objectives.

When not coaching, speaking, or teaching, Michelle thrives while navigating the unique joys of marriage to an entrepreneur, of co-parenting two very distinctive children (one of whom has a rare genetic disorder, KCNQ2), and of life as a cancer survivor.

Michelle is currently based in Chicago, Illinois.
