Summary

Simon has worked as a corporate role player, trainer, executive coach, and instructional designer for nearly thirty years.  He has married a business and legal background with extensive theater experience to become a specialist in experiential training.  A skilled facilitator, he uses a variety of interactive techniques and simulations with the individuals and teams he works with.  He regularly designs and delivers interactive programs and facilitated sessions that reflect and challenge organizational culture, values and behaviors.

He works extensively in the area of Leadership, Coaching, and Communication, most notably designing and delivering a series of modular programs for the construction and airline industries which won a National Training Award in 2010.

He has recently developed an interest in Mental Health and Wellbeing, which he has explored academically and artistically, and is currently working with various organizations to create innovative training experiences in this area.

Training Experience

Simon has been working with KPMG and PwC in EMEA for many years as part of partner assessments and delivering custom-built training experiences based around Presence and Leadership. He has also worked extensively with KPMG in the US as part of their innovative Partner Experience Program. In the UK public sector he has worked with the NHS, Ministry of Justice, HMRC and CPS.  He also teaches at Harvard University.

Business Experience

After University, Simon worked in the City of London as a Senior Associate Company Secretary for Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC).  Following a period at theater school, he founded and ran a theater company and a children’s theater charity.  He has produced in both the West End and regions and is currently co-artistic director of Contexture Theatre.

Theater Experience

  • Artistic Producer of Contexture Theater, and have acted in five productions and directed Twelfth Night and Abigail’s Party.
  • Associate Producer/Assistant Director/Performer for East Productions (Steven Berkoff’s acclaimed physical theater company), which included international tours and West End London.
  • Over 20 years of experience as an actor, working on stage all over the world and in roles on TV and film.
