Business Experience
As a founding member of the original Ariel team, he served for 20 years as VP of Client Relations, where he built and managed the firm’s highest revenue-generating clients. As founder and Artistic Director of Toronto Playback Theatre, he managed a successful and popular company for over ten years, serving corporate and non-profit clients and customers. His combined expertise in learning design, classroom facilitation, executive coaching, and business consulting allows him to support leaders in developing the fundamental skills of trust and human connection in the service of growth and profitability. He has served on and chaired numerous non-profit boards, including Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Alberta, The Centre for Playback Theatre, and The Dharma Center of Canada.
Theater Experience
As a member of Shakespeare & Company in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and a member of Actors’ Equity, Chris performed in and directed numerous professional, student, and community productions, including Richard III, Love’s Labors Lost, The Winter’s Tale, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and The Tempest. He has toured extensively through the US with companies including Geese Theatre Company, performing a unique style of commedia del arte improvisational theatre exclusively for incarcerated populations in state and federal medium- and maximum-security prisons.

- Master of Arts (MA) in Theatre Arts and Vocal Communication from Lesley University Graduate School.

- One-year executive coaching for the incoming CFO for a large energy company in Western Canada. Supported them in boardroom presence, difficult conversations with employees, and strategic planning for their team.
- Ongoing executive coaching for a physician serving as Departmental Director for Emergency Psychiatry at a large New England hospital. Supported them in leadership issues with the team, communication with the board, and strategic planning for the department.
- Six-month executive coaching engagement with the Chief Procurement Officer at a major European biotechnology company. Supported them in planning for internal mentoring and coaching relationships, written and oral communication within the company, as well as personal career planning.
