Bill Bao is a Human Resources Management Consultant. His areas of expertise include development (including executive coaching), employee engagement, and succession planning. He has worked in the medical devices, automotive, fitness, power management, textile, and manufacturing industries.
Over his 30-year career, Bill has gained extensive experience in working and consulting in the United States and Asia. His accomplishments have included introducing new products into the Chinese market; assisting businesses to set up joint ventures in China; designing, implementing, and leading human resources efforts and establishing key recruitment relationships with colleges and universities in China; and creating succession planning and leadership development programs for companies operating throughout Asia.
Most recently, Bill served as the Human Resources Director of Greater China for Stryker Corporation. At Stryker, his responsibilities included building a team that served customers throughout Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the People’s Republic of China; managing succession planning and development for senior business leaders; launching a campus recruitment program, and developing a mentor program. His accomplishments included growing business by 35% per year for four consecutive years while improving employee engagement by 15% as measured by Gallup’s Q12 employee engagement metric.
Bill is fluent in both English and Mandarin and has served as an instructor of English as a second language in China.
