NONPROFITS | ARIEL FOR EDUCATORS

Inspiring Woman

The mission of Ariel For Educators:

To support education leaders as they powerfully enroll others in their vision for change in order to close the achievement gap for challenged populations of students.

Ariel For Educators is an outgrowth of The Ariel Group, which has, since 1993, been integrated into the leadership curriculum of companies such as American Express, large consulting companies, and GE as well as executive education programs at Harvard, Columbia and MIT Sloan.  Drawing on the same exercises that performers use, Ariel Group training builds critical skills in the areas of leadership development, communication skills, and relationship building through group programs and individual coaching.

OUR PROGRAMS HELP PARTICIPANTS TO:

  • Develop their authentic leadership presence
  • Sell themselves and communicate their ideas with power and passion in order to inspire their staff, students, parents and other stakeholders
  • Listen to build relationships and foster a strong, values-based community
  • Exhibit poise, adaptability and confidence during stressful situations
  • Create an atmosphere of resilience, excitement, possibility, caring, and connection to each other and the mission of the school

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY:

“I wish I had taken this class 5 years ago when I was a first-year school leader.  It might have been the single greatest act I could have done to increase my effectiveness as a leader.”

-Amy D’Angelo, Principal, Achievement First

“I learned it’s the how as well as the what in effective communication. [The program] was directly valuable to my work and life…increasing my authenticity and ability to connect with the staff and constituents.”

-School Leader, Harvard University’s Public Education Leadership Program (PELP)

“The real value that we see for us as a school community is it helps us administratively to work better as a team.  When we can work better as a team, communicate better, and facilitate better with each other, it works better for the students.”

-Tom Gorsuch, Former Principal, South Shore Charter Public School
