At The Ariel Group, we have a team of experienced program designers who bring a creative flair to efficiently and effectively solve your learning goals.
In every engagement, we will work with you to:
- Complete a thorough needs analysis with your stakeholders
- Connect the skills and behaviors of the program to your competencies, your culture and your leadership language
- Design a program that accommodates the various learning styles and abilities of your individual participants
Based on your needs and budget, we can modify a core curriculum from our suite of existing programs or design a new program that may pull from existing modules or new materials to create a unique learning experience.
We will also:
- Assign a facilitator who matches the needs of the participants
- Deliver experiential learning that concludes with application to the workplace
- Work with you to develop pre- and post-program activities that integrate concepts into the workplace and help to extend the learning footprint
Our unique approach to experiential learning is grounded in the following proprietary design criteria:
- Small group | we work with groups of 8-12 participants (depending on the program) because experiential learning in small groups is the most effective way to bring about real change
- Values-based | We help your people to connect their personal values to organizational outcomes
- Theater-based | Our programs are taught by professional actors and build on the parallels between acting and leadership
- Rooted in conceptual models | Conceptual models ground our experiential approach so that participants can frame their experiences
- Multi-dimensional | We combine cognitive, emotional and physical dimensions of learning to touch both the "head and heart" of each participant
- "Aha!" experiences | Our programs serve as catalysts for "Aha!" or "transformative" experiences for people to step into a bigger and deeper sense of who they are and who they could become
- Results-oriented | Participants are able to see how what they're learning can be applied practically to their day-to-day life at work and how this learning will add value to them in a workplace setting
- Sustainable | We aim to produce behavioral and organizational change that "sticks", so we create strong emotional memory and provide self-development materials for post-program learning application
Large Group Experiences
Our programs are most effective delivered in small groups. However, where time is very limited and you would like to give larger numbers of people a short experience of our approach to Leadership Presence, senior Ariel Group facilitators can lead an audience through an inspirational, entertaining and interactive presentation.
Based on the work in our book LEADERSHIP PRESENCE: Dramatic Techniques to Reach Out, Motivate & Inspire, published by Penguin Putnam, this 3-hour presentation explores:
- The connection between the presence of an actor and the presence required to be a confident, effective leader and communicator in the workplace
- The fundamentals of voice, gesture and language to command attention and communicate authentically and vividly
- The power of storytelling and how to use stories to influence, inspire, motivate and teach
