EXECUTIVE COACH | JOSH BRODER

- Josh Broder
Based in New York, NY, Josh Broder is a Senior Consultant with The Ariel Group, a facilitator, actor, and writer. He has more than 20 years’ experience teaching, coaching, and consulting in the corporate, not-for-profit, and public sectors.
Josh’s approach to coaching can be summarized as “Improvisation within a Structure.” Structure is the set of skill-based developmental goals agreed to at the outset of the coaching engagement and form the foundation of the developmental plan and the ongoing assessment. Improvisation is required to seize upon teachable moments within the context of a coaching session. This provides for in the moment changes in plan that meet short term business objectives of the client such as a challenging conversation or high stakes meeting.
Josh draws on his skills in theater, and as a journalist and business writer when coaching. His coaching work is about people interacting with people, in other words the content and delivery of messages. As a writer he has expertise on crafting content, as an actor on optimizing delivery. As a director, he’s been a guide in both these realms.
